Philosophy In 60 Seconds-ish | Making Difficult Thought Easy
Over at Philosophy for the People, we’ve launched a series called Philosophy In 60 Seconds-ish. The goal is to explain core philosophical ideas in about a minute. (I stress the “ish” part. For example, the introductory logic video is an appalling — eek! — seven minutes. But that’s the anomaly. Most are right around the 60 second mark.)
I must emphasize that the purpose of this series is not to defend but to report. My goal is to be “impossibly objective”, getting each idea out with as much precision as is feasible for a 60 second-ish clip. My hope is this series will be of help for students, lifelong learners, and professors looking for material to supplement their classes with.
