What stops God from endlessly self-justifying Himself? For example, He creates some initial object X, then precedes this creation with the justification “because I created,” and do this ad infinitum. Since He is eternal, wouldn’t infinite regress not be an issue at all?

In this view, nothing in the box is ever changed and we always find some contingent reason for creation outside of the box. Helps explain why the problem seems so tricky, too.
